Arrival Bhubaneswar

Meet and greet on arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway station and transfer to hotel.
After a fresh-up visit to the ancient temples like Lingaraj-the biggest temple in
Bhubaneswar (non-Hindu are not allowed inside the temple premises), Mukteswar,
Parsurameswar, Rajarani & 64 Yogini temple (Yogini sculpture having 64 different
hairstyles & one among four Yogini temple in India), Ananta Basudev temple. Evening
free for independent activities. O/N- Bhubaneswar.
Note:
1. Lingaraj temple remains open from 05.00 to 21.00hrs and close for 01hr between
11.00 to 13.00hrs. Devotees can go into the garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) between
06.00 to 08.00hrs &13.00 to 16.00hrs.
2. Non-Hindu are not allowed into the Lingaraj temple. They can see from the specific
platform.

Excursion trip to Biraja temple (250km/5hrs)

After breakfast proceed to Jajpur town for darshan of Goddess Biraja-the great mother
goddess. She is virtually the incarnation of the goddess Earth and one of 51 Shakthi
pentagrams. The Biraja temple is located near the Vaitarani River and the principal idol is
Devi Durga is worshipped as Viraja (Girija). Jajpur is also known as ‘Viraja Kshetra’
and ‘Biraja Peetha’. It is also known as ‘Nabhi Gaya’ as according to the Tantra
Chudamani Sati’s navel fell here in Viraja Kshetra. Pitapuram holds the Pada Gaya, the
Siro Gaya is found in Bihar (Gaya), and the Nabhi Gaya is found here (Jajpur) in the form of
a well. Visit the Sree Bagalamukhi Devi. On the way back to Bhubaneswar visit the
Jagannath temple at Chhatia. O/N-Bhubaneswar.
Note:
1. Biraja temple remain open from 05.00 to 20.00hrs and close from 12.30 to 16.00hrs.

Bhubaneswar-Puri (70 km/1.5 hrs)

Morning again you may visit the Lingaraj temple/ Ananta Basudev temple &
Bindu Sagar (holy tank) to witness different rituals and activities. Post breakfast
proceed to Puri, en-route visit through Dhauli Buddhist shanti stupa, Sakhigopal
temple. On arrival check in to the hotel. After fresh up visit to the temple of universal

God Lord Jagannath (one of the four Dham of the Hindu religion). Have darshan and pay
your homage to Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Lord Balabhadra & sister Devi
Subhadra. After darshan visit other temples of God & goddesses, the Anandabazar, the
vast Kitchen & Koili Baikuntha. The word Kolili means burial ground for the trinity &
Baikuntha means the heaven. During the Nabakalebara the old images of three gods are
buried here and the new images are also carved here. See the flag change ceremony
of the Jagannath temple which is held every day before sunset. O/N-Puri.
Note:
1. Jagannath temple remains open from 05.00 to 22.00hrs and close for 01.3hr between
07.30 to 9.30am & 01-hour between 12.00 to 14.00hrs.
2. For Jagannath temple, Devotees must wear decent clothes to enter the shrine.
Wearing half pants, shorts, torn jeans, ripped jeans, skirts & sleeveless dresses are not
permitted.
2. Non-Hindu are not allowed inside the Jagannath temple &  Gundicha temple premises.
3. Mobile phones, cameras, leather items, paan, gutkha, tobacco, food items, bags,
Polythin & plastic are not allowed inside the Jagannath & Gundicha temple premises.
4. Be careful of monkeys at Jagannath temple. Keep your wallet &bags carefully.

Excursion trip to Konark (40 km/45minuits)

After breakfast visit the Gundicha temple, Sonar Gouranga Temple, Bedi
Hanuman temple, Loknath temple. Post lunch excursion trip to Konark, en-route visit
Ramchandi temple, Chandrabhaga beach. On arrival visit the Sun Temple &
interpretation centre (the UNESCO World Heritage monument). You may witness the
light & sound show at Konark. Back to Puri and visit the Niladri beach & Blue Flag
beach. O/N-Puri.
Note:
1. Konark Sun temple remains open from 08.00 to 18.00hrs. Light & sound show time:
18.30 to 19.15hrs (winter) &19.00 to 19.40hrs (summer) and operate subject to
weather conditions and minimum pax. The show remains closed every Monday.

Puri-Bhubaneswar &departure

Post breakfast proceed to Bhubaneswar, en-route visit through Pipili appliqué market.
On arrival, if time permits visit Khandagiri &Udaigiri Jain caves and Jain temples. In
time transfer to Airport/Railway station for onward journey. Tour End.

2. Be aware of Monkeys at Khandagiri & Udaigiri. Keep your wallet & bag carefully.
Udaigiri remains open from 08.00hrs to 17.00hrs.
